  2. Objective • We are researching the possibility to propose a ‘Honeymoon Package’ • We want to create the perfect honeymoon which requires passion, imagination and attention to detail because this is an important experience that a couple will cherish for years to come.

  3. Focus Group • Who: 6 couples (ages 25-35) at the resort on vacation. • Email sent inviting guests after room reservation for that week has been received. • RSVP by: January 30, 2013 • Chosen guests are reminded of focus group when they check in. • Focus group is being held during the busiest time of year to allow for the most available participants.

  4. Date, Time, Location • Date: February 20, 2013 • Time: 5-8pm Dinner included • Location: The Sanibel Room- Murex

  5. Schedule • 5:00pm Welcome participants, fill out informed consent, light refreshments are available. • 5:15pm- 6:30 Explain process we will be following, then begin with questions. • 6:30 Conclusion/ ‘Thank You.’ • 6:45-7:30/8:00pm Dinner catered by The Point. *All children will be supervised for a planned activity at this time.

  6. Questionnaire Process • Participants write their answers to the questions one-by-one with use of Power Point and handout. • Discuss the answers after each question. • Brittanny talks with guests about their answers. • Jennifer uses video camera to record focus group interaction.

Questionnaire • Would you book a honeymoon package rather than a regular stay? • What activities would you like to do that are included in a honeymoon package? • Would room location impact your experience if you were placed by a family with small children? • Would you rather pay in one lump sum, or in smaller payments leading up to your honeymoon? • Meals, drinks would be free, while scheduled events specific to the honeymoon package would be discounted for this package. Would you be willing to pay full price for other activities outside of the package? • Would you like for your honeymoon activities to be photographed, and available for purchase?

  8. Compensation • Included: • Dinner for Participants • Free one night stay for next visit. • 25% discount on a couples massage

  9. Cost • Total expenses • Room Rental: The Sanibel Room: $179 • Free night stay for next visit: $2,100 • Catering from The Point and light refreshments: $450 • Paper and pens for survey: $10.00 • Labor: $2,000’ • Total Cost: $4,739
