About Lancaster County Career and Technology Center (LCCTC)… • Built and established in 1970 • Constant changes in the way of doing business • Initially served ½ day seniors only • Now serves full-day seniors and ½ day juniors • The committees that oversee the generaloperations of the LCCTC include: • Professional Advisory Committee(Local District Superintendents) • Joint Operating Committee(Local District School Board Members) • Occupational Advisory Committees(Industry professionals who help direct thecurriculum of each program)
Database of industry organizations for networking Summer camps for eighth grade students “Hands-on” tours for fifth and eighth grade students “Gold Collar” Career Night for middle school students and parents Model for job acquisition (CEW Standards strand 2) LCCTC “Green” house project Print Shop services for local school districts LCCTC Partnership with Local Districts

What can an LCCTC educational experience do for students? • Allows earning of between 3 and 13 college credits during their senior year • Opportunity to participate in a clinical rotation/internship/co-op • Diploma from their sending school AND a certificate of completion from the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center • State and National certifications in their areas of expertise
