William Cooper William Cooper, 1754-1809, he was the founder of Cooperstown. He was a judge. He also was a land developer.
Population • Cooperstown has a population of 63,000 people per square mile. Every year it attracts 2,200 people.
Were Is It? • Cooperstown is 70 miles located southwest of Albany, our state capital in New York.
Visitors • Cooperstown has brought more than 13 million visitors ever since it became a town in 1786. His son, James Fenimore Cooper was a famous novelist who wrote about the beauty of the town and countryside.
Logos • The Cooperstown logo is a red C that stands for the Cooperstown Hawkeyes and on the back of the C there is some feathers.
Baseball • The baseball field is a regular baseball field that people say is famous called Cooperstown Dreams Park.
