  2. Hall of Fame • The National Baseball Association has been around for exactly 75 years. Baseball was invented by Abner Doubleday in 1839. The Hall of Fame has more than 135,000 baseball cards.

  3. William Cooper William Cooper, 1754-1809, he was the founder of Cooperstown. He was a judge. He also was a land developer.

  4. Population • Cooperstown has a population of 63,000 people per square mile. Every year it attracts 2,200 people.

  5. Were Is It? • Cooperstown is 70 miles located southwest of Albany, our state capital in New York.

  6. Visitors • Cooperstown has brought more than 13 million visitors ever since it became a town in 1786. His son, James Fenimore Cooper was a famous novelist who wrote about the beauty of the town and countryside.

  7. Logos • The Cooperstown logo is a red C that stands for the Cooperstown Hawkeyes and on the back of the C there is some feathers.

  8. Baseball • The baseball field is a regular baseball field that people say is famous called Cooperstown Dreams Park.
