Nowadays world has changed a lot so there are many developed fields and some new ones too.People say that the world became a very ugly place to live.However,new things have been created throughout the years either by people or nature has created it itself. There is a variety of nature’s miracles that prove that the 21st century is not only about disasters. It is also about wonders too. Some of them really deserve to be included in the seven wonders of the world. These wonders are Mount Olympus, JeitaGroto, Angel Falls, Dead Sea, Amazon Rainforest, MalvidesandVesuvius!
JEITA GROTTO Jeita Grotto is the name of two interconnected caves which are nine kilometers long. They are located in the Nahr-Kalb valley within Jeita, 18 kilometers north of the Lebanese capital Beirut. People can visit it by boat. It channels an underground river that offers fresh water to the Lebanese. It is a Lebanese national symbol and one of the top tourist destinations. It is not surprising that it plays an important social, economic and cultural role and it has managed to enter the New 7 Wonders of Nature competition.
VESUVIUS Vesuvius is a complex volcano in Italy. It has a long history. It is known for its catastrophic eruption in 79 A.D. When it erupted it buried the towns of Herculaneum and Pompeii. The oldest rock dated from Vesuvius, is 300,000 old. Vesuvius is referred to as a dangerous and deadly volcano. The population density in some areas of high risk; that is they are very close to the volcano is 20,000 to 30,000 per square km. There are no signs of being activated again at present. No matter how deadly it is, it is an attraction for a lot of tourists.
THE DEAD SEA The Dead Sea is in Jordan and it is considered as one of the world’s wonders. It is deep in the Jordan Valley and it is not only one of the most spectacular natural sites but also one of the most spiritual landscapes in the world. People who visit this place have to drive for thirty minutes from Amman. The Dead Sea has no life because of the high density of salts and minerals and these make it well-known for its therapeutic qualities. Because of the high density of salt people can float even without trying. It attracts a great number of tourists and many beauty products for women are made from those qualities.
AMAZON RAINFOREST The Amazon rainforest is a well-known place worldwide .However, it is not owned by one country only. It is shared by nine countries:Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru , Colombia, Venezuela, S uriname, French Guiana and Guiana. The world “rain” in rainforest does not mean that it rains all the time. It refers to the high levels of humidity in tropical forests. The heat, Humidity and rain make these forests “a rich ecosystem or habitat for many organisms.”There is a variety of trees and plants, animals, birds, reptiles and insects. Some of them are unique and is endangered species. TheAmazon was reached by the Americans in search of gold, silver and gems. There was a myth that in the Amazon they world find Eldorado, a city made of gold, and it was guarded by women warrior race, the Amazons
ANGEL FALLS TheAngel Falls are not only a wonderful name, but they are also a wonderful place to be. It is a place hidden from people in a jungle and Mountain of Venezuela .People have to travel to Canaima from Caracas, Puerto Ordaz, or Ciudat Bolivar. People can rent a plane from these places to go to Canaima and then get a boat to get to the Angel Falls. The Falls are even higher them the Niagara Falls, that is Angel Falls are 19 time higher. It was named the Angel Falls after an American pilot, Jimmy Angel, who lauded on top of Augantepui-where the Falls drop off-in search of gold. The Indians believe that area is a mystic land of the there after because it is so isolated. The Falls have been an UNESCO World Heritage site since 1940.
MALDIVES Maldives is a popular tourist destination referred to as a paradise on Earth. It is located in the middle of the Indian Ocean and it is made up from “a series of ancient coral reefs that grew up around the sides of towering prehistoric volcanoes ”. These sunk in the ocean so what is left now are some coral islands. These islands attract many tourists seeking for romance. The skies are bright blue, there is sunshine all year long and tourists can dive and go snorkelling in lagoons which have the temperature of bath water.
