  2. Who Invented the computer • Konrad Zuse invented the first fully functional computer.

  3. Was the computer made on Accident or on Purpose ?

  4. Why did Computers come about? . Computers were invented to help in everyday life.

  5. What are some of the computers modifications ? • The fist laptop was invented in 1981 by Adam Osborne. • The first computer mouse was made my Douglas Englebart in about 1960. • The company called apple got it’s start by two people called Stephen Wozniak and Steven Jobs. In about 1975 Wozniak designed a computer that was cheaper to build and easier to use, then jobs named the computer brand apple then he went and sold them to tons of offices and shops 10 years later apple was a billion dollar success.

  6. How has the computer been changed ? • It’s become smaller and portable • Now there is video games the internet the mouse etc.

  7. What is the economic impact with computers ? • About 460 billion dollars worth of computers have been sold in 2011.

  8. How Many Computers are made every year ? • More two hundred million computer were built and sold last year.

  9. How many people are involved in making the computer ? • More then a million people a involved in making computers.

  10. Were does the computers materials come from ? • All most all of the inside parts of the computer are made from copper and silicon. • All of the parts that aren’t made of metal are made of plastic. • Copper = is mined but has a lot of dirt, clay, etc. attached to it so it is concentrated. Then the copper is smelted. After that the copper is refined. Last the copper is melted and made in to something.

  11. Were does computers materials come from ? (Part 2.) • Silicon is made from sand put to extrem heats. • Plastic is a man-made product that doesn’t occur naturally on its own. Almost all plastics are made from oil by a special procedure that changes the oil’s carbon.

  12. What is the environmental impact of computers? • Silicon, plastic, and copper ( in some of the stages such as mining ) are bad for the environment. Computers have certain environmental advantages. They save paper and by keeping us glued for long periods of our lives to videos and games, humans stay out of mischief, since nature is usually the loser when we manage to tear ourselves away from our electronic lives for some real-time interaction.
