  2. Housekeeping • Maximize your CCC Confer window. • Phone audio will be in presenter-only mode. • Ask questions and make comments using the chat window.

  3. Adjusting Audio • If you’re listening on your computer, adjust your volume using the speaker slider. • If you’re listening over the phone, click on phone headset. Do not listen on both computer and phone.

  8. Why Textbooks are • heavy • costly • slow to update • without clickable links • not searchable • wasting paper

  9. Digital Media Skills Reader • Started as online course (odd). • Added on-campus sections. • Used my online content as Reader (done through Bookstore). • Minimum printed cost for Reader $20 Updates were quite hard!

  12. Smashwords I tried Smashwords because • No cost to try it. • You could give away or sell the eBooks. • They want a MS Word document and they do all the conversion! • It could be done all online, without talking to anyone.
