  2. Vertebrate • Bony fish are vertebrates that means that it has a backbone.

  3. habitat Bony fish spend there whole life in water. Like creeks, ocean, ponds, lakes, and streams.

  4. cold blooded • They are cold blooded that means that they change there body temperature by there surroundings.

  5. Life cycle • They spend there whole life in water. There life stages are egg stage, growth stage, adult’s, reproduce death.

  6. How do they breathe • They breathe with gills there whole life. Water goes into its gills the gills separate the oxygen from the water.

  7. Body covering • Bony fish’s body covering are scales they are like plates. • Sometimes their scales gives them camoflauge to protect them from predators.

  8. reproduce • They lay thousands of eggs. So they have a better chance of suruiving. Some fish will hide their eggs or guard them to protect them.

  9. Special body parts • Their tail and fins is there special body parts on a bony fish and the reason is so they can swim away from other kinds of fish.
