(Performance and Progress) • Reduce the number of non-proficient students in each subgroup by 50% over the course of 6 years - close the gap • Reading, math, and science • Reading and math have published goals but science does not Gaston County Schools

  7. What else? • Safe Harbor is still in effect. • The AMO spreadsheet (on the Principals Playbook wiki) will help schools calculate Safe Harbor and the state bar for each year • It also has state goals for all subgroups Gaston County Schools

AMO Spreadsheet • The AMO spreadsheet also helps schools calculate Safe Harbor and the number of students they need to have proficient to meet the goals. • As they enter their proficiency and the number of students in each subgroup, the spreadsheet populates. • One result for Reading for the All subgroup has been entered in the spreadsheet as an example.
