Outreach Programs • Everyone loves robots • Use our status as leaders of the field of robotics to develop awareness of the CSA’s accomplishments and projects • Target children in school • Have a constant presence in the curriculum • Continue with conferences at highschool and university level • Use the tangible nature of robotics to promote the CSA in general • Robots are cool • Use resources we currently have for public relations • Astronauts • Relationships with universities • Link the development of space robotics to future economic growth

  4. Proposed Cost Structure • 25% of total budget to be devoted to robotics • $125 million total • 60% of this total is to be devoted to current procurement and commitments • $75 million per year • 4% for outreach programs • $5 million per year • 36% for ongoing R & D • $45 million per year
