New Piece of Garment on an old one • Christianity does not fit into Protestantism, Catholicism, Judaism, Southern Baptistism, or Non-Denominationalism • Those are man made garments • There is only one Christianity • The new piece won’t match the old and it will make a tear
New wine cannot be put in old wineskins • The process of fermentation in wine is the catalyst function that turns grape juice into an alcoholic beverage. During fermentation yeast interact with sugars in the juice to create ethanol, commonly known as ethyl alcohol, and carbon dioxide (as a by-product). • Fermentation is all about simplicity and energy that is released
The best – New wine, new wineskins • The breaking down of complexity into simplicity, in vessels who embrace the new wine, who are flexible, spontaneous, available to be stretched, results in the perfection of this parable
Our Life Application • The Holy Spirit is the New Wine • We cannot put Him into a box of our thought process • We must flex our thought process to accept His wine • As wineskins, being new today does not insure newness tomorrow • Human Nature is to embrace the “old”.
