  2. RÉPTEIS Características gerais: • Presente em diferentes habitats terrestre e aquáticos • Maioria carnívoros e alguns herbívoros • Corpo coberto por uma pele seca, sem glândulas, impermeável. Podendo apresentar: escamas, placas ou carapaças • Pecilotérmicos • Respiração pulmonar • Coração com 3 cavidades (2 átrio e 1 ventrículo), o sangue venoso se mistura com o sangue arterial no ventrículo. Exceção: Crocodilos com coração com 4 cavidades

RÉPTEIS Características gerais: • Sistema digestivo completo, terminando em cloaca • Reprodução sexuada: fecundação interna, desenvolvimento direto, maioria ovíparos e algumas espécies (serpentes e lagartos) são ovovivíparos, macho possui órgão copulador • Três são os grupos dos répteis: Quelônios, Crocodilianos e Escamados
