  5. History of Line Seiki • 1949 – Following World War II, in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan, a trading company handling precision-measuring tools was inaugurated • 1951– The "Line" brand was established. The opening of the first factory in Meguro-ku, Tokyo, Japan. • 1988 – Expanded its operations to Seoul, Korea and Taiwan • 1999 – Entered more markets with establishment of Line Seiki Asia Pacific, Inc., based in the Philippines. • 2006 – Line Seiki Philippines, Inc. was recognized by the Philippine Export Zone Authority as an IT Enterprise • 2007 – Clean-room and COB facilities were established, allowing for delicate and critical sub-assemblies in-house, assuring higher quality products and better delivery times
