Transportation of Patients • The Primary Concern of our EMS System is to assure the safe arrival of the patient, in the least amount of time, to the most appropriate care center. • Priority of the patient determines destination • Priority 1 - life or limb threatening • Priority 2 - urgent condition / may deteriorate rapidly • Priority 3 - stable / hospitalization not expected

14. MI-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) is an integral part of the U.S. Government’s National Disaster Medical System and is sponsored by HEMS Inc. MI-1 DMAT provides disaster medical care here and across the country as needed.
