  4. One has to do with where they live – tortoises tend to live on land and sometimes visit the water, while turtles do the opposite, mostly living in the water and sometimes visiting the land. Because of this, their feet are also different: turtles have fin-like or webbed feet to help them with swimming, while tortoises do not !

  5. A tortoise is also usually bulkier and bigger than a turtle, because it doesn’t have to worry about being flat and streamlined like a turtle for fast swimming!
