  2. STUDY-TEACH Definition of Study: Means the process of applying the mind so as to acquire knowledge by research and investigation. It also means careful attention to critical examination of any subject or event. Definition of Teaching : • Teaching is the preparation and guidance of learning activities • Teaching is not talking and learning is not listening

  3. HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THE PRE-SERVANTS’ CLASS • Do your homework • Continue to apply what you are learning • Observe how others write and teach bible study • Ask lots of questions in class • Don’t miss class • Remember what you are as a teacher

  4. INDUCTIVE BIBLE STUDY Inductive study attempts to come to general conclusions after examining particular bits of information found in the text. The details of the text are discovered, then interpretation, principles, and applications are formed.

  7. TOOLS Scripture and: • English dictionary, • Bible concordance, • Parallel translation, cross references • Bible encyclopedia, Jewish encyclopedia, • Map of the time • Early fathers writings, • Coptic commentary and another western commentary
