What we did… • We preformed an experiment on 50 people in the 60046 zip code area to find out just how many licks it took to get to the center of tootsie roll pop.
Procedure… • The data collection procedure used was asking random people if they would like to participate in an experiment to see how many licks it would take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop.
The simplified data: • Min: 131, Max: 1008, Average: 609 • Q1 – 413 Q2 – 609 Q3 – 827 Q1 Q2 Q3 131 1008 413 609 827
TL:DR • In short, our group randomly selected 50 people within the 60046 zip code area, and had them record how many licks it took to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop. • One of the flaws in this experiment is that some of the tootsie roll pops may have an uneven coating that would require more licks to get to the center or it may also have a thinner coating resulting in the opposite.
