  1. High Watt vs. Medium Watt Density Cartridge Heaters

  2. High Watt Density In a High Watt Density cartridge heater, the resistance element is wound on the outside of the ceramic core. This allows for durability in higher watt density applications, and the computer programmed winding allows for precise wattage distribution profiles.

  3. Medium Watt Density In Medium Watt Density cartridge heaters, the resistance element is wound into a spiral and fed into the ceramic cores of the heater. This results in better durability for heaters longer than 7” and less than 65 WPSI because it has a continuous resistance element and many fewer electrical connections within the heater.
