  1. Micro NFC Tags and their Usages Most people are familiar with NFC technology by now. But the micro NFC tag is relatively new, and many are still unaware of this amazing invention. It is basically the smaller version of the NFC tagand is probably the smallest NFC productin the market! Before we talk about the uses of micro NFC tags, let’s review what NFC technology is. Here's a quick recap:  Stands for Near Field Communication  Built upon the standards of RFID  Embedded in credit cards, most smartphones, and modern devices  The technology behind tap-and-go payment services such as Apple Pay and Android Pay  Allows for the contactless transfer of data between NFC-enabled devices and passive NFC tags or stickers  Works within a range of 10 centimetres or 4 inches What is a micro-NFC tag? As mentioned, a micro-NFCtag is just like any NFC contactless sticker. It comes with an NFC chip and a tiny copper antenna. Ang like a regular NFC tag, a micro-NFC tag can also transfer data to another NFC-enabled device. The data on the tag can contain commands or prompts for the NFC reader. It can open specific mobile applications, direct people to websites, and even pay for goods. Micro NFC tags are commended not only for their small sizebut also for their good performance stability, impact resistance, high-temperature resistance, and more! What are the uses of micro-NFC tags? The 'miniaturization' of conventional sticker tags into micro-NFC tags has opened the door to even more possibilities. It can be embedded in just about any kinds of material. In fact,people embed the micro-NFC tags in their jewelry, toys, smart watches, and business cards. In one experiment of a popular internet media channel, they implanted a special micro-NFC chip in a hand and successfully paid at a restaurant. To make this possible, what they did was write a unique payment ID onto the chip. When the NFC reader scanned the micro-NFC chip, it was able to complete the payment. Individuals are not the only ones taking advantage of NFC technology. Businesses are also making use of tags to create advertisements, marketing materials, posters, and signs to pass along information to their consumers.
