  1. Coordinator ForumMarch 27, 2012 AGENDA ITEMS: • CRU charges • Subject Surveys • Orders for subject visits • CRU orders guideline

  2. CRU Charge Rates • We have not had enough new protocols submitted to analyze the new charge rates. • Several people have requested meetings to discuss charges and budgets. • No negative feed back thus far.

  3. Subject Surveys • All comments about staff have been positive. • First and last names listed by subject sent to research member's supervisor (all positive). • Actions taken: • Rewrite some questions that may be confusing to participants • Discussed comments at weekly CRU Staff Meetings • We are still waiting for the research team member survey to be approved.

  4. Providing Orders for the CRU • The research team is responsible for changing orders and aliquots as needed. If date has been changed, please log them back in and place in the gray bin for CRU staff to file. • Please do not call CRU staff with requests to change orders or dates on orders.

  5. Providing Orders for the CRU • Log all orders/mailers/lab kits in Order Log book located in gray bin on counter by Work Flow Coordinator. • Please staple labels to the orders, so they don’t get lost. • If Log book is missing or you have any questions, please see Workflow Coordinator. ONLYCRU staff will file orders.

  6. Providing Orders for the CRU (cont.) • Only use yellow highlighter when highlighting orders so these areas can be seen when scanned. • All Standard of Care orders must be entered on EPIC or hard copy by the research team. • If subject cancels or fails to appear for an appointment please retrieve your orders and supplies (including mailers) within one week of cancellation or no show. • When editing orders, do not use white out or scribbles, instead use a single “strike through” for each edited line and add your date and initials.

  7. Providing Orders for the CRU (cont.) • You may pick up old orders/supplies by contacting the workflow coordinator. They will be recycled after one week if not retrieved. • Edits in the Order Log book should reflect new appointment date of subject. • Coordinator must send reschedule request through CRC Scheduling.

  8. Frozen Specimens • Research Team may remove samples after contacting one of the following CRU Staff Members: • stacy-mcmichael@uiowa.edu • alfred-carr@uiowa.edu • amanda-schaapveld@uiowa.edu • 8a-5p Monday-Friday • There will be a log to sign out specimens.

  9. Communication • Monthly informal meetings will continue to be held, when a quarterly forum is not scheduled. • Upcoming Monthly Informal Meeting Dates: • April 18, 2012: 1 - 2 pm in W417 A/B GH (College of Nursing Conf. Room) • May 31, 2012: 12 - 1 pm in W417 A/B GH (College of Nursing Conf. Room) • Please contact Kathy Lilli to discuss further questions or concerns. • You may also contact katie-howard@uiowa.edu and she will schedule a time for us to meet! Again, communication is the key for all of us!
