MME or MI-Access? • Since there is not a single MME ELA, mathematics or science assessment a student with and IEP will take either MME or MI-Access.
Science and Social Studies Q: If I have a student who has taken MI-Access FI ELA and mathematics, but took MEAP science and social studies, how will the student now be assessed in science and social studies?
Science and Social Studies A: First of all, if a student can take MEAP science and social studies, the student should not be taking MI-Access. However, for student who do take MI-Access, the IEP Team must determine how the student will be assessed in science and social studies until MI-Access assessments in these content areas are developed.

NOTE: Readers • For MME a reader is considered a STANDARD assessment accommodation • ACT and WorkKeys measure comprehension • No Michigan ELA components • Must order scripts that must be used
Accommodations– Okay for ALL Students • Designated accommodations can be used by ANY student • 17 accommodations are local decisions for any student (4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 33, 34, 35, 47, 48, 53)
All MME Components are Timed – Extended Time • If student has Day 1 ACT approved extended time – use for WorkKeys and Michigan components
Extended Time – Must Determine • If student does not have ACT approved extended time • Must determine the amount of extended time • Use the following as a guide. • ACT allows extended time of 3 hours when a reader is use maximum time for WorkKeys and Michigan components is 3 hours.
