AGEP 2004-2005 Data Overview • In 2004-05 78 institutions submitted some data but only: • 63 institutions submitted complete Total Enrollee data. • 63 institutions submitted complete PhD Recipient data. • 60 institutions submitted complete New Enrollee data. • 37 institutions submitted 2003-04 Advance to Candidacy data. • 21 institutions submitted data on plans of 2003-04 under-represented PhD recipients.
This presentation focuses on findings from the 2004-05 AGEP data collection including: • changes in the number and percent of UM student who are new enrollees in STEM graduate programs • changes in the number and percent of UM graduate students in the total STEM graduate student population. • Since time to STEM PhD degree is 6.5 to 7 years, changes in PhD degrees earned are not included
