  2. 1 The Word, which gives life! He existed from the beginning. We have heard him, we have seen him with our eyes, we have contemplated him, we have touched him with our hands! 2 The life appeared, and we have seen it. We are testifying to it and announcing it to you — eternal life! He was with the Father, and he appeared to us. 3 What we have seen and heard, we are proclaiming to you; so that you too may have fellowship with us. Our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Yeshua the Messiah. 4 We are writing these things so that our joy may be complete. Jewish NT 1 John 1: 1-4

  4. Upon what does JOY depend?

  5. To have JOY we must accept the Word of life: Accept Christ as Saviour. TRUE JOY is in Christ alone. Lifeis in Christ alone. Jesus is eternal life. In Christ we are partakers of the divine nature. In Christ we are free from sin

  6. 2. Joy follows TruthJesus is both Divine and Human Why is it necessary to believe that Christ was divine? 1. Man cannot save himself. 2. Sin demanded a perfect sacrifice. 3. Resurrection demands a perfect sacrifice.

Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. • 1 John 1:4And these things we write to you that our joy may be full. • 2 John 1:2Having many things to write to you, I did not wish to do so with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
