Bless be the Tie that Binds, Eph. 6:21-22 • Knowing the welfare of each other brings blessings, 6:21; Rom. 12:15-16 • Pray more fervently • Rejoice more earnestly • Comfort with more assurance • Encourage more personally and specifically • Rebuke with caring love • Not meddling (sin), 1 Pet. 4:15 • Unity of brotherly affection, 1 Cor. 12:25-27 6
Bless be the Tie that Binds, Eph. 6:21-22 • Why Paul sent Tychicus to Ephesus, 6:21-22 • So they could know Paul’s situation, Col. 4:7-9 • So they could be comforted, 6:22 • By knowing of Paul’s condition and faithfulness • By the assurance contained in this epistle • God has accomplished His eternal purpose for human redemption in Christ – do not lose heart! 3:11-13, 20-21 • We can follow this example of care 7
