  2. 施维茨州简介 施维茨州是位於瑞 士中部的一个州，州府是施維茨市（Stadt Schwyz）。境內包含琉森湖（Vierwaldstättersee）、苏黎世湖（Zürichsee）及楚格湖（Zugersee）的一部份，希尔河（Sihl）亦流经其中。境內地势丘陵起伏，遍布森林与农田。 瑞士国名就来源于州名“施维茨”。“施维茨”在古高德语中有“焚烧”的意思。今施维茨地区过去曾是一片森林，烧荒后才开始有人居住。 施维茨州为瑞士邦联创始三个州份之一，另外两个为乌里州（Uri）及翁特瓦尔登州（Unterwalden）。该三州的领袖於1291年8 月1日在琉森湖畔的吕特利（Rütli）缔结盟约，以抵抗神圣罗马帝国哈布斯堡王朝的控制，是为瑞士建国之始。 施维茨的州徽与历史和整个瑞士的建立、命名密不可分。施维茨的州徽以红色为底，右上角为一枚白色的小十字，象征着基督教的十字架。
