Situation • Situation- the location of a place relative to other places • Ex. “It’s down past the courthouse, beside the large elm tree.” • Helps us to understand the importance of something
Site • Site- the physical character of a place • Include: climate, water sources, topography, soil, vegetation, latitude, and elevation • The combination of these features gives each place a distinctive character • Humans have the ability to modify the characteristics of a site.
