  2. The Harvest is Perishing Message Thesis:God is not willing that anyone should perish. Message Objective: To show that people are perishing without God.

  3. Harvest: • Souls who are disconnected from God. • Those who have not yet begun a relationship with God. • Those that are not saved.

  4. 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

  5. Perish: per·ishper·ished, per·ish·ing, per·ish·es • To pass from existence; disappear gradually. • To spoil or deteriorate. • To bring to destruction; destroy.

  6. People perish when: • They disconnect from God. • They decide to be deceived. • They don’t involve God in their choices.

  7. Longsuffering: long–suf·fer·ingadjective \-ˌsə-f(ə-)riŋ, -ˈsə-\ To suffer for a long time without complaining. To be very patient during difficult times.

  8. Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
