TASK A new museum is being built in Cranston. An area of the museum will be dedicated to Chinese history. It will be a great honor for you to convince the museum staff to include a recommendation from you. To have your invention included in the museum you must complete the following task:
Choose an invention to research from the list. Your job is to create a PowerPoint that includes important and interesting information that will convince the owner of the museum to display the invention you have chosen.

Decide why the invention you chose was successful… • It made work easier. • It improved health. • It improved quality of life. • It was used by many people. • It had an impact on history.
To convince the museum to accept your nomination be sure to answer the following questions… What is the invention? When was the invention devised? Who devised it? Describe three ways this invention affect peoples’ lives at the time it was invented? In what ways does this invention affect our lives today? Add any other information you feel is important for the museum director to know. NO MORE THAN 10 SLIDES.
THE PATH TO SUCCESS!!! • Research your invention by exploring the listed websites and available texts. • ALL texts and pictures must be cited on your bibliography (last PowerPoint slide). • While researching, complete the graphic organizer with as much information as you can find about your invention. • Organize your information into a PowerPoint presentation to convince the director of the museum to choose your invention. • PARAPHRASE the information you use in your project. Do not copy from the text.
