  2. Purpose Address the problems that people face as they age Bring efficiency, portability, and reliability to the customer Assist with: vision, hearing, memory loss, speech and medical devices

  3. Vision • Magnifies objects and displays them on the screen so they can be large enough to be seen

  4. Hearing • For customers with difficulty hearing, our application translates speech captured on the device’s microphone and displays it as text on the screen

  5. Memory Loss • Scheduling • Taking medications • Reminders • Memory Game • Match pictures with text

  6. Speech • Speaks the text on the screen so the user can convey audible messages to other people if they have difficulty speaking

  7. Medical Devices • If a device that a user is dependant on has a critical message, it can be transferred to our application for further evaluation

  8. Depth of Change The project can administer a change of up to 10% total to any specific section without  resulting in vague or excessive implications.

  9. Why our project is the best Our group has excellent communications skills and team work that allows us to successfully perform and complete tasks. Our device shall be easily accessible to the elderly to efficiently carry out basic daily activities. We have an application that allows the user to quickly contact help via a single touch button. The variety of applications we have designed caters to most disabilities that an elderly experiences. The team’s organizational and planning tactics to draw out requirements and specification for the HOPE systems allow for a tentative implementation of a prototype of the system.
