  2. Cataract • The most common cause of cataracts is ageing. Cataracts are known to be the leading cause of blindness in individuals over 40 years of age. However, cataract can occur in people of any age due to numerous other factors, including: • Diabetes • Excess alcohol consumption • Obesity • Exposure to UV light • Eczema

  3. Cataract • Symptoms: • Cloudy and blurred vision • Increased sensitivity to bright light • Decrease in distance vision • Double vision (a condition called diplopia) • Impairment of color vision • Poor vision in sunlight • Noticeable cloudiness in your pupil
