Introduction to DocManUser Interface You will receive an email from sharris@rationalblue.com, with subject line “DocMan team email” containing a link to the DocMan server, and a password. When you are ready to work on the task, click on that link, and log in with your email address and the password.
Introduction to DocMan User Interface Login Click the box next to “I have read and accept...” to review the Terms and Conditions for use of the website. Enter your email address, the password from the invitation, check the box to indicate that you have read and accept the terms and conditions, and click Login to begin the review task. If you forget or lose your password, click on “Forgot my password” to receive an email with a new password.
Introduction to DocMan User Interface Task Controls The area in the oval contains controls to review the document, submit a comment, review your previously submitted comments, and to exit the task. You may review this brief by clicking “Help” Click “Exit” to leave the task if you plan to return later. Click “View Document” to download, review, save, print, etc., using Google+ tools. Click “Download Document” to download, review, save, etc., using Adobe or some other preferred tool on your computer. Click “Submit” to submit a comment to the database. Click “Refresh” to ensure that you are working with all of your previously submitted comments. Click “Delete” to delete the comment from the database. Click “Task Completed” when you are done making commments on the document. Use the slider control to navigate among previously submitted comments.
Introduction to DocMan User Interface Note “Grayed Out” buttons are intentionaly disabled. In some cases these are planned features that are not yet implemented. Other buttons may become intentionally disabled in the course of task execution. This is normal.
Introduction to DocMan User Interface Task Controls Click “View Document” to use a tool from Google+ to display the latest version of the document to be reviewed (see next slide). Click “Download Document” to download the latest version of the document to be reviewed. You may then open the document using any tool on your computer, as you may prefer.

If desired, click the small caret (circled) to minimize the icon panel. You may wish to set up the two windows so they are adjacent and each fill half of the available screen, as illustrated in this slide.
Introduction to DocMan User Interface Data/Comment Entry Four steps to enter a comment or propose a change to the document. The dropdown will be used to indicate the heading under which you propose new language. Select “Administrative,” “Substantive,” or “Critical” to indicate to the editors how important you consider this change to be. Select the topic from the dropdown outline of the document. Enter your proposed language in this box. Enter your rationale here.
Introduction to DocMan User Interface Copy (highlight, then cntrl C) the language you wish to comment on/change from the source document and paste it into the comment area of the DocMan tool.
Introduction to DocMan User Interface DocMan will attempt to locate the correct heading and set it into the dropdown box (circled). If unable to locate the correct heading, a popup window will remind you to select the heading. This selection helps the editors understand the specific section that you are proposing to change.
Introduction to DocMan User Interface Enter your Rationale, select the criticality (“Substantive” in the example here), and click “Submit” to enter the comment into the database.
Introduction to DocMan User Interface After you submit a comment, the tool will clear and will be ready to receive your next comment. Use the slider control to navigate through comments that you have already entered. You may change and resubmit previously entered comments at any time. Click “Exit” to leave now and close the window. You may come back later at any time to continue working. Click “Task Completed” when you are completely done with reviewing the document..
