  11. Understanding learners Understand me! Do you know how to teach me to extend myself? Do you know how to teach me how to learn? Do you know how I learn? Do you know what I am good at? Do you really believe I can learn? Do you know how to stretch me? Do you know what I think and feel about being in this learning environment? Do you know what makes me persist?

  12. Learning Design Learning Design is the ‘glue’ which brings together SA pedagogy with the Australian Curriculum. TfEL and the intended learning of the AC It will help us address our SA research findings about the need to reallychallenge and stretch our kids.

  13. Learning Design Bringing together the ‘what’ and the ‘how’ of quality teaching and learning to connect the curriculum with our kids The Australian Curriculum in this model provides the frame of reference for what we want our students to learn and the SA TfEL provides the learning principles that inform how we design quality learning.

  14. Learning Design involves: thinking deeply about the intended learningfor students as well as recognisingwhat they already bring doing this thinking together finding ways to connect the curriculum with the learners designing learning experiences that are rich in assessment processes which inform the teachingand students’ progress.
