Intimate Expressions PartiesTerminology • Sponsor ~ The person who signed you up with Intimate Expressions Parties and is responsible for training/coaching you in the business. • Up-Line~ This includes your sponsor, his/her sponsor, his/her sponsor’s sponsor and so on up the line. • Replicated Site~ Your Intimate Expressions website. This is the company sponsored web site that you obtain. • Retail Sales~ The price of product. This does not include sales aids, shipping and handling or taxes. • Sales Supplies ~ Includes any discounted items that are not catalog items, catalogs, order forms, etc… Usually it is anything that is specific to IRA’s and typically not for sale to customers. • AMS ~ This is your back office. Your IRA number is needed to login to this and can be found on your welcome email from Home Office when you signed up. • CV (Commissionable Value) ~ This is Sales that you and/or your up-line will get paid on. Leadership Levels • Advisor~ A person who has signed up but has not yet placed their qualifying order. • Active Advisor ~ A person who has signed, placed a total qualifying orders of $250 + for the month and has doesn’t have an Active Team yet. • Team Leader~ A person with a Min. of $500 in Personal Retail Sales, 1st level Team Members at Min. of $250 and a Combination of $250 for all 4 Levels of their Team. • Bronze Leader~ A person with a Min. of $750 in Personal Retail Sales, 1st level Team Members at Min. of $500 and a Combination of $1000 for all 4 Levels of their Team. • Silver Leader ~ A person with a Min. of $1000 in Personal Retail Sales, 1st level Team Members at Min. of $1000 and a Combination of $2000 for all 4 Levels of their Team.   10. Domain Forwarding (optional) You can shorten your website address by purchasing a domain name at a place like www.godaddy.com for about $11.95 per year. For example, my IE site address is: http://www.intimate-expressions.com/katiekelly So I purchased a domain name that is much easier, www.katiesparties.com I suggest getting a .com for your website domain. Once you purchase your domain you will want to follow the following directions to forward it to your Intimate Expressions website. 1. Log into godaddy.com2. Under "my products" on the left side of the page click on "domains"3. Under "domains" click on "domain manager" ( a new window or tab will open)4. Check mark the box next to your domain name (the above tabs will become available to select.)5. Click on the "forward" ( a little box will come up to select) click on "forward domain"6. A new box will come up on that page put in the box your url from Intimate Expressions. Example: www.intimate-expressions.com/katiekelly7. Click "ok"8. Click "ok"9 .   12. Your Kit Has Arrived……. • Feels like your birthday, Doesn’t it? I think the single most favorite thing of mine when I was getting started was the day my kit came. I remember opening the box figuring out what everything was, how you use them, tasting everything, etc… So when your kit comes be sure your not in a rush, be able to spend some time with it, and get to know it. • Open your kit up. Make it fun and have a friend over to open it with you! • Put batteries in your toys and watch them work. • Open all jars and bottles, be sure to try them yourself so you know what your talking about (not the toys of course unless you plan on keeping it for yourself and not demoing it) • If you don’t know what something is read the description in the catalog ask on the groups and most importantly contact your Sponsor! • Take out the catalogs and order forms and put your name & number on everything.   13. Your Kit Has Arrived (continued)……. • Line your products up and get a feel how you want to demo them. I personally start with the bath products, then the edibles, and gradually build up to the toys. Practice till you find the order that is comfortable for you. • If you are afraid you will forget names of products, put a little sticker with the name right on it, this will help you and your guests. • Make yourself little cue cards, if you feel you need to, on each product so when you do your shows you have a safety net, right there ready to go. • Enjoy!   14. Marketing Your Business • Host an Open House • Ask your circle of friends and friends of friends • Pass out your business card to EVERYONE! When they have an interest GET THEIR INFORMATION! And most importantly FOLLOW UP WITH THEM IN 2 OR LESS DAYS! • Leave your business card with waiters/waitresses, inside bills, bathrooms, etc. • Put up flyers in Laundromats, grocery stores, campuses, etc. • Visit tanning/hair/nail salons and see if they will let you advertise or do a special to promote their business as well in your hostess specials. This way you form a partnership for advertising. • Advertise online with free message boards Back to Index

  15. Party Leads from Your Upline and Others • As a bonus, your upline believes in helping IRA’s with party leads in your area. These leads are a PERK to your business and should not be relied upon to run your business. If you receive a lead from Katie Kelly, you should respond right away if you are interested in this lead. • It is imperative that you follow up with the potential as soon as possible (within 24 hours) to set the party date. Many times, potential hostesses will go to many different websites to request information and will simply book a party with the first person who contacts them. • If you are requesting leads from other consultants on the Groups, please do the same as above with those leads. • Follow up with the lead ASAP and then letting the person know who gave you the lead is greatly appreciated and will be remembered. Party Lead Guidelines (Katie Kelly) Q: What are Leads?A: These are Leads of Women or Men who are wanting to Host a Party in their Area.  You must Contact them to setup a Date and Time for their Show, unless a Requested Date is Posted directly in front of the Lead.  Example: “Indianapolis, IN. – Dec. 16th."  Then you know when this Person needs to have her Party.  Otherwise, they don't have a Set Date and Time *yet*, which is why it's necessary to Contact them ASAP. Q: How do I find out how far away these Leads are?A: PLEASE do your Research BEFORE Claiming a Lead! - Visit, http://www.mapquest.comQ: How do I Request a Lead?A: To Claim a Lead, simply email that person that has the lead off the boards at their email address when you see a Party Lead that's Close to you, or within YOUR Traveling Distance.  I respond to the Lead Taker only.  First Come, First Serve.  These Leads go FAST ... sometimes within just Minutes of me Posting.   Gotta be Quick!Q: How do I go about Contacting them and when?A: These Ladies are also known to "Visit" more than one Website looking for someone in their Area.  In which case, the early bird gets the worm!  I recommend Calling AND Emailing the Minute you Receive your Lead.  Many times they're not checking their Email regularly.Q: What if I Contact them, and they want a Date I can't Commit to?A: If when you Contact your Lead, they want a Specific Date that you DO NOT HAVE Available, I would like for you to send it back to me along with a Note of which Date she wants.  This way, I can give it to the next Person who Requested it.Q: What do I respond to a lead with in the email? A: It is very helpful to have the party information in the email while requesting it. Doing this will save time and helps you get the leads information faster. If you send me an email asking for “that party” A Lot of the time I do not know which lead you are referring to. Back to Index

Q: I've responded to several Leads, and I can never seem to snag one.  What can I do to ensure I get them?A: These Leads are to be Considered "Perks."  PLEASE DO NOT Depend on them to Generate Solid Business.  Your Parties and Future IRA’s will come from YOUR OWN Marketing Efforts. What you put into your Business, you will get back out.   Q: I responded to a Lead, but didn't Receive a Response, why?A: Not only do several people Request the same Lead, but Lead giving is a VERY Time Consuming Process.  I spend at least 1 extra Hour PER Day Distributing and Compiling Party Leads.  Understand if I do NOT Respond to you, this means the Lead has already been Claimed.   **** Please follow these guidelines when working with a Party Lead that is given to you by me, Katie Kelly.   18. Hostess Packet Hostess Packets should be sent promptly after booking the party. Hostess Exclusives and our Hostess 5 Star Reward Plan is 100% paid for by Intimate Expressions! I HIGHLY recommend doing the invites for your hostess and mailing them out no less then 2 weeks before the party. What are some musts in your Hostess Packet: Your Hostess Program Two sets of catalogs Order forms (for outside sales) Romance Squares (increases sales) Opportunity Brochure Hostess Packet with Guest list Hostess Monthly Exclusives A couple business cards Back to Index

  19. The more hostess coaching you do the more the party is apt to be a good one. Oh! Don’t forget, be sure to ask the hostess if she is interested in becoming an Intimate Expressions IRA! For more on Hostess Coaching you can visit the Team Training Site and contact your Sponsor. Hostess Coaching Leads to a Successful Party • If your hostess books her party when at a party, be sure to give her a hostess packet that night. • If your hostess books her party thru the web or a phone call be sure to put her packet in the mail within 24 hours. • Call your hostess 2 weeks before the show, then 1 week before, then 3 to 4 days before, and then the night before. **The goal of these calls is to be able to help you get a read on the party. If the hostess is excited, returns your calls, and is working her party your sales more than likely will be good. Back to Index

  20. Booking Parties from Parties…. Parties are the lifeline of our business. Without parties and hostesses, we have NO business. Here is a great game to use to book parties from parties keeping your business thriving….. Get Leid Game or Booking Game (A MUST Play Game to FILL your Datebook like crazy!!  It truly works!!)  At the beginning of the Show, as Guests were getting Seated, I handed each a Plastic Easter Egg sealed with Scotch Tape and said, “Hold onto these until I let you know what they’re for…No peeking allowed!” Each Egg Contained a Small Slip of Paper with a FREE Gift or Discount Written on it. There were a Dozen Eggs Total…. - 3 Had the "FREE '3 Day 2 Night Getaway for two' the Night of your Show" - 4 Had “FREE 'Get Lucky Bag’ the Night of your Show” - 3 Had “40% Off any 1 Item of your the Night of your Show” AND… - 2 Had “FREE Bullet the Night of your Show” You can offer anything you want - I recommend using Retail items that carry CV. You can also make your own samples from your retail products such as Nipple Nibblers. Question is, how much are you willing to Pay for a Party Booking? What ever you decide, make it worth it!! Before we went to Break (the Middle of my Presentation), I Grabbed my Nicely Decorated Basket while Saying, “We are going to Play a Game that is going to help ____ with her Extra Credits AND Party Bookings.  See, ____ here had a Party, because she wanted to get laid!  NOT once (say while putting a Lei around her neck EACH TIME) … NOT twice, BUT 3 times!!  Was it good for you?!?!  Hahahaha!  Now inside of this Envelope, there’s 2 Gift Certificates … ONE for a FREE Pure Instinct *AND* one for a FREE 3 Day, 2 Night Getaway!  Now the ONLY way ____ here can Claim her Prizes, is if at least 3 of you Ladies Book a Party TODAY.” “Now, there’s something special in it for you!  You can either choose to PASS *OR* “GET LAID” by Booking a Party.  If you choose to “Get Laid,” ____ here is going to come and “Lay you” with one of her Leis … and I’m going to allow you to open up your little "Gift Box," which contains a slip of paper with a FREE Gift written on it.  NOW WAIT A MINUTE - BEFORE you open it …. So get excited … put on a SMILE … and think YES! It works!! You can also adjust this game and give the hostess leis around her neck.  You can skip the eggs and explain that is Holly Hostess gets rid of all 3 leis, she will earn a free________.  Then I would have them pick something (egg, envelope, anything) in the order room if they are wearing a lei.  This will be their bonus item when they have their party.   23. Hostess Credits • Hostess credits are based on the retail sales. This does not include sales tax and shipping. • Be sure to set a shipping rate that covers your costs and the tax rate is based on Customers tax rate not yours. • The hostess also may not use her “Free” credits on exclusives, discounted items and so on.   24. Taxes Do I have to file sales tax with the state? Intimate Expressions Parties collects the tax when you submit your order and then they file it for you. You still want to collect tax from the customers to reimburse yourself. Do I charge Tax on my shipping? Yes you will go right down the order form. Add the retail cost of the products, then the shipping, then figure the sales tax. Does the system charge me tax based on where I live or on where the package is being shipped to? Tax is based on where the package is shipped to. Will I receive a 1099 at the end of the year? The only time you will receive a 1099 from Intimate Expressions is when you collect more then $600 in commission checks from your team in that calendar year. Back to Index

  25. Customer Returns/Exchanges Intimate Expressions has an “All Sales Are Final” clause on their order forms, please when doing your presentation make sure you draw attention to this fact. However, if a product is broken or is malfunctioning (battery corrosion not included) within the first 72 hours of receipt Intimate Expressions will replace, that item with the same item, with the customer. Can I get a refund or product credit for returning a defective item? No. You can only exchange it for the same item. How long does my customer have to return an item? 72 hours of delivery Be sure to tell your customers that purchase the toys this policy. I tell them, “when you receive your package please put batteries in it right away and make sure it does everything it is suppose to do. If it does not then call me right away and let me know so that we can replace it. You have 72 hours from the time it is delivered to let me know and once it is used it is yours.   26. Useful Pieces of Information • Company newsletters come out about once a month. Team newsletters come out from me once a month around the beginning of the month. Be sure to sign up to get these by logging into the training site at www.katiesparties.com click on: Power Players Login Password changes every couple months so ask your sponsor or myself at katiesparties@yahoo.com Once on the training site visit the page “Welcome Family Members” and fill out the form on there. • We have updated catalogs come out throughout the year. You can work on your older ones for sometime. We will be getting new catalogs about 1 time a year. • If you qualify for a bonus/commission check the go our around the 15th of the month following earning it. • Bonuses/commission checks are based on retail sales. • Don’t wait for people to approach you.   27. Sponsoring How to Start a Team and Make More Money How do I recruit new consultants to build a team? This is a question that has no answer. There is no secret, no right or wrong way, and definitely no easy way. But what there is, is unlimited people. Talk to everyone about what you do, if you talk with confidence and they can tell you truly love what you do, your one step ahead. Offer the opportunity to everyone. Yes, I said “offer”. Most people will have never even thought about the possibility, never the less know how to go about it. What was your first question? How do I get started? What do I have to do to get started? Any of those ring a bell? You had those questions because no one ever offered you the opportunity. At each show I offer the possibility. It’s easy! At the end of my show I say “ I would like to thank you all for coming this evening, and I would like to offer each of you the opportunity to host your own Intimate Expressions Party and/or offer you the opportunity to do what I do, become an Intimate Expressions Romance Advisor.” The offer is on the table, you are approachable, it plants a seed, gets them thinking. Does this mean that everyone will sign that night? No, but they will at least know the opportunity exists. So yes, offer them the opportunity! Statistics show that 1 in 10 interested people will sign up. Remember to think positively, one more no only means you are one step closer to a yes! Never give up on a possible recruit! I have had 2 or 3 years pass before someone finally signed. It has to be when they are ready, whether that means financially, mentally, physically or otherwise. Just stay in contact, don’t badger them, but stay in contact occasionally. Back to Index

  28. Can two people sign up together as business partners? Yes, but they need to be aware of several stipulations. First of all, only one person will legally be recognized as the official IRA. Therefore if they were to move apart or want to break up their relationship, only one of them would have any legal claim on the business and the other will not have any legal recourse. Only one person will walk across the stage at Conference. Only one person will receive recognition such as pins and a mention in the Newsletters. The bonus checks will be written in only one name. Only one SSN will be on file so all tax info will be sent in one name and then will be up to the partners to figure out how to work out tax issues. If they understand these conditions and still want to go forward, you would have the decided party sign up online and purchase their kit and fill out their application online with that one persons information. Can men be IRA’s? Yes, we already have several. Are there Territories? No, you can have as many IRA’s in the same area as you want. Can IRA’s sign up from other countries?   30. Online Ordering of Kit Go to www.intimate-expressions.com and click on opportunity. In the Left hand column you will click on “Click here to sign up now” (A new window will open up) Choose what kit they would like to start with and fill out all the needed information. It will walk you right through. After the kit is purchased it will give you a link to fill out the online application. I like to go over this with them so that they understand everything. Once the process is complete and the Home Office processes everything, they will receive an email with her IRA number and website Ask her to log on and walk her thru each area of their AMS Back Office. This is an exciting event to have happen. Once you sign your first recruit you will be hooked. It’s almost as great as the day your kit came in!   31. 10 Keys to Success #1 and the most important Walk it, Talk it, Believe it, & you will Succeed at it! Never forget “Why” you joined, if you lose sight of this you forget to have fun and enjoy it. #2 Don’t “select” your customers By selecting who you will or won’t approach will close many doors that you didn’t even know were open. #3 Online Advertisement This takes dedication and about 3-6 months to see the payoff, but it does work. #4 Business Cards Hand your business cards out to each and every person you encounter. **Be sure they are at least 18 yrs. of age. #5 Build a Team Parties make you instant money, building a team makes you long term Money.   32. 10 Keys to Success Continued… #6 Invite Personally invite each person you encounter to join your Intimate Expressions team. Some people won’t approach you they wait for you to approach them. Don’t leave them behind. #7 Don’t over do it set your schedule so that your business works for you, not you working for your business. #8 Set goals Share them with your sponsor. They will help to keep you on track. When you are working to achieve a goal you work harder and stay focused. #9 Don’t over indulge As exciting as it is don’t spend money you haven’t made yet. Space your expenditures out. The #1 complaint is from people who put all kinds of money out there setting their business up but didn’t take the time to work their business first. Buy what you need to get going, when you have recouped the money back for the cost of your kit. Set an amount from each party to put back into your business. #10 Networking Whether participating in Vendor Fairs, Women’s Expos, Contacting other reps from other companies and seeing about doing a party swap (you hold a party for them and they in turn hold one for you) or just networking with other Passion Sisters this will all help you get a head in your business.   33. Final Thoughts to a Successful Business • RELY on your up line. You will never be considered a problem or a bother. If you have questions call the person who signed you up, their up line, or go to one of the web sites. We are all here to help each other out the best we can. • Store all products in separate bags. Some toys can melt together, take on each other’s colors. It’s expensive to replace demos over and over.  • Know your kit......when packing up your kit make a mental list as you pack so you know it’s all there.  • Pack your kit up before going to the shopping room so nothing grows legs and walks off.  • Always close a party the night of the show. If people tell you they want to call you with an order explain that the hostess only gets credits for orders placed that night. 1. People will rarely call you with an order once they leave 2. It’s too hard to try to give her credit for purchases after the fact 3. It holds the party open and you can’t (well you can but it costs you more) send in the order till all orders are in and that's not fair to the ones who are expecting their stuff with in 10 to 15 business days from the night of the show. • ALWAYS, fill your orders before paying yourself.   • ALWAYS, stay in contact with a guest if something goes on back order. People are usually ok with the fact that something is on back order but you have to let them know. Never leave a guest hanging.  • ALWAYS remember... When someone is unhappy they let the world know, when they are happy they only let a few people know. You are representing yourself and Intimate Expressions Parties, you always want people to leave with the best impression of you and Intimate Expressions Parties. Word of mouth can make you or break you. Only you can decide which.  • Know your products, Listen to calls, talk to your sponsor and your upline, read your business manual. They are all great sources of information.  • Most importantly...talk it, walk it, work it, believe it and you will Succeed at it!!! And Have F-U-N!!! Back to Index
