CEP 2002/03 • Objective: • Creation of basic molecular biology laboratory for the purposes of protein expression • Coordinator: • Prof. drRatkoJankov • Outcome : • During regular studies, both Chemistry and Biochemistry students are learning structure and function of nucleic acids, both DNA and RNA, as well as its purification and structure elucidation. All these activities were based on the roughly prepared nucleic acid preparations. During the first CEP project supported by WUS, the Department of Biochemistry made a step forward to the contemporary biochemistry science through the active implementation of the molecular biology techniques predominantly aimed at the protein expression level. • Financial support: • 11 062 EUR by WUS Austria
