FEE NOTICE The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees, without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by the Board of Trustees.

Cal Vet Fee Waiver Recipients All Cal Vet Waiver Authorizations (Plan B) for Dependents of Service Connected Disabled or Deceased Veterans you need to either: • Bring a copy to the Cashier’s Office • Scan or email a copy to sfs@csusm.edu • Fax a copy to 760.750.3158 The Veterans Service Office does not forward a copy to SFS, so it is Your responsibility to provide that to us. College Fee Waiver Authorization is good for an academic year and it covers Fall and Spring only. This Fee Waiver does not qualify for a deferment.
Keeps you from having all of your classes dropped (due to non-payment) on a payment deadline. There are many types of Fee Deferments but the most common are Financial Aid, Third Party, and Tuition Payment Plan. Fee Deferments
Student Accounts must be paid in full by the payment deadline (unless you have a fee deferment.) You will be DROPPED from ALL of your classes (even if a partial payment has been made.) Solution – Don’t be late! What Happens if Payment is Late?
Fall and Spring Terms: Summer Term: First 2 weeks of each term First week of the term You are eligible for a refund of the difference between Full-Time fees and Part-Time fees if you drop from Full-Time to Part-Time during the add/drop period. If you drop from Full-Time to Part-Time after the add/drop period you are not eligible for a refund. Add/Drop Period
Is the best and FASTEST way to receive your Financial Aid refund. You can sign up yourself through your Student Center. On the left side of the page click on Enroll in Direct Deposit. Once you sign up, your student account is immediately updated. There are no delays for processing time. Direct Deposit
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Allows students to give SFS staff permission to speak with their designees about their financial account. FERPA will remain effective until revoked by student or the student graduates. Form must be signed at the Cashier’s Office and student must present photo identification. FERPA Release Form
Campus Email &Account Balance Important! Please check your campus email account daily! We do not send out bills for tuition, so any information in regards to fees, deadlines, or an outstanding balance on your account will be sent via email.
