Example Brief 2 proposal • Proposal
Week 1 • I want to record the fact that I am terrified about this paper. I have sat staring at the requirements for hours at a time, not knowing where to start or how to go about it. I am having difficulty sleeping at night. I feel like I have been plonked in the driver's seat of a manual car, with zero driving skills, and been told to drive through rush hour traffic in Auckland city. For me to learn how to navigate my way around the digital tools feels like a whole course in itself, without even thinking about what I want to reflect upon. Week 2 • It is the end of the second week, and I am feeling slightly less terrified. I have managed to stumble my way through the software and I now have a profile and a Brief 1 page. I am beginning to feel that I might be able to do this. Week 3 • End of the third week. After much frustration with uploading images, I now know how to do it. I have also struggled with understanding how I will separate my reflections from the entries on my Brief 2 Page, but I think I am slowly starting to understand the difference. I feel confident that Brief 1 will be ready to submit on time. Astounding. Week 4 • Now completing my Brief 2 proposal. I am becoming much more comfortable and feel confident about creating hyperlinks, uploading videos and images, and generally using the software. My next big challenge is to become comfortable with APA referencing, which at present is taking me hours just to get one or two references correctly formatted. • Now that I have a grip on the technology, I am looking forward to getting my teeth into the actual reflective and learning process. The fact that I have learned so much already in just 4 weeks continues to amaze me.
