For Example… • Imagine you are a normal teenager like Ronny:
and to win the love of fair Alexandra you decide to write a love note…
Tone = Depends on the Author • The TONE of his letter is romantic because that is his attitude toward this subject. I love her!
However, the letter could evoke several different moods based on Alexandra’s experiences: Disgust! Outrage! Romance! Intrigue!
So remember, tone is the author’s attitude and mood is the feeling of the reader • TONE=AUTHOR • MOOD=READER
