FOOTSTEPS Living an Exceptional Life of Greatness
“I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from union with Me] you can do nothing.” (John 15:5 AMPC)
“I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from union with Me] you can do nothing.” (John 15:5 AMPC) “Live in Me” – to remain with, to connect to, to unite together, to walk in harmony together. “Fruit” – a quality of life that brings needed nourishment to others and yourself. “You can do nothing” – of eternal weight and value.
There’s no one else in human history that has made a greater impact on humanity than Jesus. He stands alone as the Champion of all Champions – the G.O.A.T.! (Greatest Of All Time)
It stands the reason that if we live in harmony with Christ we will truly Live an Exceptional Life of Greatness!
How do you remain with Him? How do you stay connected to Him? What does it take to truly unite with Him? What does harmony with Christ look like? How can I walk in His footsteps?
In the morning, long before daylight, Jesus rose and went out, and, going to a lonely spot, there began to pray. (Mark 1:35 TCNT) After dismissing the crowds, he went up the hill by himself to pray; and, when evening fell, he was there alone. (Matthew 14:23 TCNT) Now about that time, Jesus went out, up the hill, to pray, and spent the whole night in prayer to God. (Luke 6:12 TCNT)
Three Requirements for Worship: An Altar – a place you dedicate to the honor and meet with God. You can have more than one. Tell God, this is our place. When I come here Sir I am here for you.
“Build for me an altar made of earth, and offer your sacrifices to me – your burnt offerings and peace offerings, your sheep and goats, and your cattle. Build my altar wherever I cause my name to be remembered, and I will come to you and bless you.” Exodus 20:24 NLT
Three Requirements for Worship: A Sacrifice/Offering – to gratefully give or give up something of value to express devotion to God.
“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.” Romans 12:1 MSG
Three Requirements for Worship: A Demonstration of Affection – an attitude that exclusively celebrates the value, worth, and presence of God.
“So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open, drinking in your strength and glory. In your generous love I am really living at last! My lips brim praises like fountains. I bless you every time I take a breath; My arms wave like banners of praise to you.” Psalm 63:2 – 4 MSG
“Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who alone does wondrous things! Blessed be His glorious name forever; let the whole earth be filled with His glory!...” Psalm 72:18 – 19 AMPC Worship until your awareness of God becomes FAR BIGGER than your awareness of people, problems, and issues.
