Times Tables I am on TTC level ______ I need to practise my _______ times tables. (Write your times tables out in your homework for extra practise and get friends and family to randomly test you throughout the fortnight.) Spelling You have 10 words to practise that you will be tested on at the end of the fortnight. You should write them out in your homework book at least 4 times and you could try other spelling activities like we do in class for extra practise to ensure you get 10/10! • Step Ladder • Make a ladder by adding a word that begins with the last letter of the previous word. (You can use extra words but you must also use all of your spelling words) Catastrophe Chart: • Brainstorm situations that upset people such as grazing your knee, losing your pencil, not being able to do work, your house burns down, someone dies, With an adult decide where they go on the catastrophe scale. Decide together which problems are worth crying over. Maths: • Teach someone in your family how to play • greedy pig!! Record the scores for 5 games. • Who is the greediest??? • See what you can achieve in one minute eg. Can you make your bed in a minute? Do 100 star jumps? Write your name 20 times? Record 5 things that you can do in one minute. You have 2 weeks to complete this sheet. Homework is due back at school by Thursday the 19th of May.
