Motivational Photo The first project was to make a motivational poster. I figures that I could use the image to upload to my website or make a poster for the classroom.
Pre-edit Picture Post edit Picture I took the photo myself and uploaded the image to FotoFlexer.comI cropped the picture, resized, enhanced and added the color bronze to the picture. From here I had a difficult time adding text- so I saved the Image and used Microsoft Office Picture Manager to place in the text.
Possible graphic logo Some of the students inspired me.
Pre-edit Picture Post edit Picture This was definitely an experiment- I used Gimp for this- I was going for a logo-Gimp was a little more complex- It gave me lots of freedom to manipulate the picture- I airbrushed, cropped, Filled with color, Added texture, enhanced color, resize, overlaid, and a lot more. For as long as I worked I on this project I feel that I could still add more and play around with the graphics. It was fun, but challenging for a novice.
Pre-edit Picture Post edit Picture This was a first attempt with Pixlr-o-matic. This was a very easy tool. Foolproof for the most part. I added a border, overlaid some graphics and changed the effect of the picture.

Pre-edit Picture Post edit Picture I did this on Pixlr express. I definitely liked how express had more options to edit pictures. This photo I enhanced, whitened teeth, added text cropped resized.
Reflection After spending several hours researching and working on sever different types of projects I feel that I gained some basic knowledge on how to edit pictures and use lots of the tools that the software and web ware had to offer. I did like using Gimp 2.8 software. It did take a lot of time to figure out, and I am sure that there is a lot more for me to learn, but it had lots of cool options for editing and there were lots of online resources to help figure things out along the way. FotoFlexer and Pixlr were much easier to use. Either of the these online options would be smart for a novice to use. The express version of Pixlr was very intuitive and would probably be all that most educators would need. I'm glad to know that there is so many options for people of all abilities.
