Mr.EvansonMwaniki • Chairman of Kenya Airway • Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of London • He was the General Manager for Shell and BP between June 1989 and December 1994. • He also led the oil industry negotiations with the Government on liberalization of the oil industry, leading to actual decontrol in October 1994 and prepared Kenya Shell & BP Kenya (including restructuring the organization) for effective marketing in the new (liberalized) business environment. • Mr. Mwaniki has represented the oil industry in various influential forums. These include the Federation of Kenya Employers and the East Africa Association. • Mr. Mwaniki currently sits on the boards of various companies, including British American Tobacco Kenya (Non-Executive Chairman), East African Breweries Ltd, East African Packaging Industries Ltd and Lion of Kenya Insurance Company Ltd.

4. Chakib Khelil • He was born in Oujda (northern Morocco) on August 8, 1939, received a doctorate in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University in 1968. After working in the United States for a few years, he joined Sonatrach in 1971. • Became president of the in 1973-1976. In 1980 he joined the World Bank, working on petroleum-related projects; he retired from it in 1999, only to join President Abdelaziz Bouteflika's cabinet later that year. As Minister for Energy, he presided over a period of increasing liberalization of the formerly strictly state-owned petroleum market in Algeria. • In 2001, he was named president of Sonatrach, and he nominated and was succeeded by in 2003 (MEM.) He was also president of OPEC for the year of 2001. • While holding the position of Minister of Energy & Mines, he successfully passed new laws governing energy, mining and most importantly hydrocarbons. These laws changed the dynamics of the relationships between the state owned Sonatrach and foreign companies and investors. • Sonatrach is the largest Algerian company and the 11th largest oil consortium in the world. Its gross sales (as of 2002) was 1,530 billion Algerian dinars for a net income of 175 billion

5. Sonatrach (Société Nationale pour la Recherche, la Production, le Transport, la Transformation, et la Commercialisation des Hydrocarbures s.p.a.) is an Algerian government-owned company formed to exploit the hydrocarbon resources of the country. Its diversified activities cover all aspects of production: exploration, extraction, transport, and refining. It has diversified into petrochemistry and the desalination of seawater.

Mr. Ato Girma Wake • Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Airlines. • Ato Girma has over 37 years of airline management experience • He has worked as Manager Space Control; Area Manager Ghana, Tanzania and Germany; Division Manager, Marketing Operations and Division Manager, Cargo Marketing • He joined Gulf Air in 1993, where he served in various management capacities in Marketing and Sales and headed the airline's cargo division in 2001 • Between 1996 and 1998, Ato Wake served with DHL as Regional General Freight Manager • Ato Girma has demonstrated remarkable leadership over Ethiopian airlines since he was appointed as the helmsman. • In 2007, Ato Girma announced Ethiopian Airlines' commitment to make the airline the first green airline in the world, by means of a special project the airline embarked upon in conjunction with Greener Ethiopia. • In 2008, Ato Girma led Ethiopian airlines to commission the 737Next-Generation simulator. • As adherent of integration in Africa and a champion of the Yamoussoukro Decision, Ato Girma leading Ethiopian airlines signed a management contract agreement with ASKY, a start-up regional airline that seeks to provide more effective coverage of West and Central Africa.

Aliko Dangote • Born April 10,1957 in Kano, Nigeria • His education, from Al-Azhar University, Cairo • He is the Chairman & CEO, Dangote Group • He is the owner of the Dangote Group, which has operations in Nigeria and several other countries in West Africa. • His current net worth of around US$ 2.5 billion • Dangote's businesses include food processing, cement manufacturing, and freight. • The Dangote Group dominates the sugar market in Nigeria, as he is the major sugar supplier to the country's soft drink companies, breweries, and confectioners. • Dangote Group has moved from being a trading company to Nigeria's largest Industrial group, including Dangote Sugar Refinery • He was ranked one of the richest black African citizens and the third richest person of African

Shingi Munyeza's • The Zimbabwe 2008 Institute of Directors Award winning Shingi Munyeza epitomises the energy and enthusiasm required to turn around tourism in Africa to competitive levels globally. • He is the two time recipient of the Institute of Directors Runner up Award, was crowned CEO of the Year 2008 by IPMZ and received the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Personality of the Year Award for four years running. • Shingi Munyeza led a consortium of business persons into buying a stake in the largest hotel management company in Zimbabwe. • Shingi’s vision for growth in the tourism sector in Africa at large has seen him standing at the helm of a pan-African hotel group with more than 1000 rooms in the region and a target to increase capacity to 8500 by 2012. • Experience : • Shingi’s experience has more than adequately prepared him for this role. A trained accountant by profession, with one of the top accounting firms in the world, Ernst & Young, Shingi has the necessary business acumen and attention to detail that is an integral part of driving such a dynamic business. • Having gleaned business and financial experience, Shingi’s love for marketing saw him make a career change to advertising. Not one to do things in half measures, Shingi attained an IMM Diploma in marketing, and ended up as Executive Director in an advertising Agency. • The journey in marketing was not to end here. His belief in what Africa has to offer in the hospitality industry saw him make his final career move to the hospitality industry, where Shingi has found his home. It is his belief in tourism that has seen him actively involved in all spheres of influence that encompass tourism and hospitality from a policy making level to operations within the industry. A Diploma in Hotel Strategic Management from Cornell University, New York has sharpened his natural inclination in driving business at African Sun Limited toward the vision of attaining US$1 billion market capitalisation by 2012 through the regional expansion programme.

10. Involment in Tourism : • Shingi’s involvement in tourism is not only limited to African Sun Limited. He played an instrumental part in bringing about a turnaround of tourism in Zimbabwe through various initiatives where he has been the president for Zimbabwe Council for Tourism for three years in succession. In addition, Shingi sees the tourism potential in Africa and works closely with governments in Africa to improve tourism and hotel development in African countries. • In keeping with his diverse nature, Shingi‘s leadership is not limited to the business sector. His passion for community transformation has resulted in the initiation of sustainable youth programmes in disadvantaged communities in Zimbabwe targeted at young people through a community church where he plays a leading role. Shingi sits on several board committees including Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, where he is Chairman. He is married to Wilma and they have a daughter Nomsa.

11. Hany Guda Ramzy Profile : • Born in March 10, 1969 in Cairo) is an Egyptian international football defender. As of now he is the assistant manager of the Egypt national football team U20. • Ramzy was born in Abdean region, Cairo to Coptic Orthodox(hence his nickname, "The Coptic Maradona") parents. He has one sister, Miriam. He started his career aged 10, a scout from Tersana club saw him and tried to persuade him to join the youth team in the club but his father Mr. Guda Ramzy – one of Al-Ahly’s fans – refused to have his son join Tersana or Al-Zamalek clubs. So his father and his uncle took him to Al-Ahly club, Captain Mustafa Hussein saw him and decided to put him in the youth club of the red castle. Ramzy signed officially to Al-Ahly and it was 10 thousand L.E. Step by step Ramzy joined the youth national team at less than 17 years old; Captain Ahamad Rafat was his coach in this time.

12. Professional career : • Despite his young age Ramzy, joined Al-Ahly first team and because of his brilliance, captain Mahmoud El-Gohary picked him for the Egyptian National Team's journey to the World Cup in Italy. That was the key of success for the 20 year old player and soon he became Egypt's youngest professional. • In 1990 he started his professional career in the Swiss club Neuchâtel Xamax FC as centre-half. The Swiss call him nicknamed him "The Rock." • In summer 1994 Ramzy was the first Egyptian player in the Bundesliga as he joined the German Club Werder Bremen with $1.5 million to become the most expensive player in Egypt. • After 1998 African Nations Cup and by former Bremen and current Greece coach Otto Rehhagel, Ramzy joined the Red Devils of Kaiserslautern with his mate in the Egyptian national team Samir Kamona and wore jersey number 6. Ramzy was named as one of the famous players in Kaiserslautern because he scored 12 goals from the center back position but in April 2003 after a knee injury Ramzy spent two seasons in agony as he watched from the sidelines until his contract came to an end. • After Kaiserslautern released him, Ramzy told BBC that he intends to join Al Wahda FC of United Arab Emirates and will be traveling to negotiate his contract. But according to some Arab newspapers Ramzy sent a fax to his old club Al-Ahly asking for the possibility of his return. However, some sources revealed that Manuel José might not welcome the player as the coach feels that Ramzy will not add to the already solidly performing Ahly team. • On October 19, 2005 Ramzy signed officially for the Bundesliga II club 1. FC Saarbrücken for 18 months util June 30, 2007 but for unknown reasons Hany Ramzy decided to retire sooner than expected and later was posted as assistant coach for Egyptian club ENPPI prior to their match against Al-Ahly in the Egyptian Super Cup.

A dream come true : • During his knee injury Ramzy started taking lectures about coaching in Berlin, Germany He decided to become a manager after his retirement, so he started as a member in the coaching staff in FC Kaiserslautern youth team. But Ramzy didn’t stop thinking like a player so he signed a contract with the Bundesliga II club FC Saarbrucken for a year and a half. • Surprising all his fans, Ramzy become the assistant coach for the German coach Rainer Zobel the head manager for the Egyptian club ENPPI but beside this powerful coach staff the results of the team become so bad, so in January 2007 the team decided to replace Zobel with Ramzy to the end of the season whatever the results were. • Ramzy said that it is a big responsibility and a good step to open the door for young coaches to manage teams in Egypt. • Ending the season 2006 / 2007 in the ninth place, Ramzy return to his original job as assistant coach. The team signs a contract with the Egyptian coach Anwar Salama the former manager of Petrol Assiut. • After he was named as 19th best African player in the last 50 years Ramzy hopes - after ten years - to be named as one of the top ten managers in Africa. • In the middle of September 2008, Ramzy take a new step toward the international training career he become the assistant manager of the Egypt national football team U20 under the leadership of coach Miroslav Soukup.

14. Personal life : • On January 10, 200, Ramzy married Italian woman Emanuela, who works in Alitalia. He was previously engaged to the Egyptian TV personality Miriam Amen. Ramzy’s first son was named Fabio (born September 14, 2002). Ramzy refused to show his family picture in the public televisions and newspapers. Awards : • Ramzy nominated as one of the best players in the last 50 years in Africa. • Ramzy named as the 19th Best African player in the last 50 years. • Named as the 5th Best African Footballer by France football 1990. • Named as the 9th Best African Footballer by CAF 2000 and CAF 2001. • Named as the Best Libero in the 1992 African Nations Cup. • Named as the Best Defensive Midfielder defender in the 2002 African Nations Cup. • Ramzy was the only Egyptian player to play for the World Stars team in their match against Australia on June 12, 1999 during the official opening of the Sydney Olympic Stadium. • Ramzy was selected among the All-stars team for the testimonial of the U.A.E. Star Adnan Al Talyani the All Stars played against a full-strength Juventus in the Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. • Ramzy was selected for the testimonial of the Egyptian star Nader El-Sayed. • Ramzy has Egyptian record as he played five consecutive African Nations Cups in years 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000 and 2002. • Ramzy entered the list of the players of the century of caps with 124 international caps. • Ramzy was part at the squad at the 1990 FIFA World Cup

15. Jabez Dayo Lawuyi, MON (Chairman) • Mr. Lawuyi was born on 6th August, 1950. He is married. • Mr. Lawuyi joined the Board of DN Meyer Plc in July, 1994 and was appointed as the Chairman in July 1999. He is the incumbent Chairman of Dunlop Group in Nigeria. • He was Finance Director in Hagemeyer Nigeria Plc between 1980 and 1986 before joining Dunlop Nigeria Plc as an Executive Director for the Consumer and Industrial Division of Dunlop, and later became the Managing Director in 1991 and the Group Managing Director in 1998. • He resigned his appointment as the Group Managing Director in August 2005. Before his appointment at Hagemeyer Nigeria Plc, he had accounting and consultancy experiences at Berger Paints, Michelin and Coopers & Lybrands respectively. • Mr. Lawuyi is a fellow of Chartered Association of Certified Accountants of the United Kingdom and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, as well as a member of the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria. • Currently, Mr. Lawuyi is the President of Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA), the Lagos Business School Alumni and the Business Club, Ikeja. He is also a member of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group and an alumnus of the Irish Management Institute.

Mohammed Al Amoudi Profile : • Born 1946 in Dessie, Ethiopia but grew up in Weldiya is a Saudi Arabian/Ethiopian • He is Ethiopia's richest person • His net worth was estimated as between $2.5 and $6.9 billion • In 2009, Forbes magazine ranked Mohammed Al Amoudi as the 43rd richest person in the world.

He holds an Honorary Doctorate in Philosophy from the Addis Ababa University Al Amoudi owns a broad portfolio of businesses not only in oil but also in mining, agriculture, hotels, hospitals, finance, operations and maintenance. Some have said he is gaining a monopoly on businesses in Ethiopia, but there seem to be other wealthy Ethiopians to challenge some of his companies

His businesses are largely to be found within two conglomerate holding and operating companies, Corral Petroleum Holdings and MIDROC (Mohammed International Development Research and Organization Companies) He is also well known as a philanthropist in his birth country and has built a 140-bed health care facility and supports visual impairment, disabled, children's health and poverty alleviation programmes. Education : In the education arena, he provides overseas scholarships and is a patron of the Ethiopian arts

20. AL-BAGHDADI MAHMUDI • born 1945 was appointed General Secretary of the General People's Committee (prime minister) of Libya on 5 March 2006 in succession to Shukri Ghanem. 21. Jacob Maroga Profile : • CEO of Electricity Company ( Eskom) • Born during the hardest years of apartheid in Burgersfort, a small town in rural Limpopo province to the north of Johannesburg • Mr Maroga did well in maths and science, itself an unusual achievement for a black child during that period. Education : • Mr Maroga studied electrical engineering at Witwatersrand University. After graduating he worked with the company for two years as a mining engineer, one of very few black senior employees.  • He moved to Sasol, the chemical and fuels concern, and since 1995 has edged his way up the ranks at Eskom. His ascent, though, coincided with an increasingly difficult period for the company.
