The Christian woman should adorn herself in keeping with this beauty.

She simply does not want to dress in a provocative manner.

Not frivolity, giving too much importance to secondary matters.

No quiere provocar ni envidia ni codicia. • 1. The judicious, prudent, discreet woman who has reserve, protects her honor, dig-nity; has self respect. She does not want to provoke either envy or lust.

La mujer piadosa no causa tropiezo por su forma de vestirse (o de no vestirse), Mat. 5:28, “todo el que mire a una mujer para codiciarla” – pero que ella no sea la causa. • 2. Think of needy brethren.

La ropa refleja el carácter Clothing reflects character • Es cierto que el hombre puede codiciar la mujer más modesta, pero la mujer cristiana debe estar segura de no usar ropa provocativa que cause tal codicia. • It is true that a man can lust after the most modest woman, but the Christian woman must be sure that she does not wear pro-vocative clothing to cause such lust.

La mujer cristiana, mujer de cordura, mujer ordenada, con sentido de vergüenza simplemente no exhibe y no deja ver partes del cuerpo que provocan la tentación. • B. The Christian woman, a wise woman, an orderly woman, with a sense of shame simply does not exhibit her body nor let men see parts of the body that provoke temptation.

The clothing that emphasizes these tempting parts is clothing that is immodest, indecent, vulgar.

No basta con ser “vestido” si el cuerpo no se cubre de una manera adecuada. • IV. Nudity. A. There’s a nudity problem even though the person is “dressed.” It is not enough to be “dressed” if the body is not covered in an adequate manner.
