Strive to be an excellent faculty member at the Cleveland Clinic Welcome DO Residents to Cleveland Clinic Precept osteopathic IM residents in their longitudinal clinics Advocate for osteopathic education and residents within the Cleveland Clinic Health System Let residents know about osteopathic events happening in the area Offer to serve as a conduit for information and advocate on their behalf Attend the IM Resident Graduation Ceremonies

    11. What can you do as a DO in an ACGME Program? Seek out DO Faculty and Mentors on Staff where you are at Encourage them to stay involved in your education Let the AOA Membership Department know where you are at.... (We want you to know that you are part of our family and we want to stay in touch!) Participate in the local osteopathic academy’s academic and Young Physician’s meetings...If they don’t have one, offer to help set it up... Be proud of your education...you will stand out! Grow Where You Are Planted...and “Pay it Forward” by teaching and advocating for those that come after you...
