FCCM Entry Timelines • May 19-31 Promote FCCM, obtain signup forms* • June 1-10 Seed your meet • June 10 Send entry list to your parents* • June 10-14 Receive parent feedback* • June 14 Make revisions, send to parents again • June 14-15 Receive parent feedback* • June 16 (noon) Send Line-ups to Bill Bridges • June 16-17 Receive mistakes list from Bill • June 18 (8 am) Deadline for mistake correction • June 19 Everything goes to the printers * Parent Communication is KEY! (Early and Often)
State Declarations • Must be a legal Forsyth County resident • Must declare/commit to attend State prior to FCCM • Must compete & qualify at the FCCM-2012 • Top 3 individual finishers among those committed • Top 12 among those committed for relays • No 6-unders, minimum age 8 • Penalties for withdrawal, hardships will be considered • Finals alternates remain committed until released by the State meet officials (usually the actual event).
Line-up ProcessSee e-mail (05/12/2012) • Subgroup “7” – remove old and start fresh • Use file, “Meet Events-FCC2012-23Jun2012-001.zip” • Follow all e-mail instructions, step by step • Enter all entries, including EX, mark “EX” in check box • “Use Times Since” box in setup • Don’t fudge times, your integrity is on the line • No heat/lane assignments • Export all required reports, roster, entries • Full roster export (include “Athletes w/ no entries”) • E-mail to: wpbridges@Bellsouth.net, May 16th, noon deadline (earlier is appreciated).
Common Mistakes • Parents didn’t let the coaches know (in time) that their child wanted to swim at the FCC meet. • Coach or parent forgot to declare swimmers as “State Eligible” • Coach forgot to enter relays for one or more age groups. • Coach incorrectly marked swimmers as “EX”, usually not understanding the EX rules. • Missing deadlines for revisions/corrections.
Exhibition Rules • EX for State declared swimmers only • Purpose to allow each swimmer an opportunity to qualify for a MR and FR, specifically, those whose individual events can’t yield qualifying times • If no short free: EX short free • If no back, breast or fly: EX back, breast or fly • Quiz
Emergency Line-Up Contact • Each team must include contact info and please be on-call to answer FCCM line-up questions. • Be able to quickly make decisions and turn around revised line-ups if needed. • Cell#, Home#, Other#, e-mail, SMS Text#, etc.
