  2. Olympic Games The Olympic Games in Sochi were the first winter Olympics in Russian history.

  3. Olympic Games More than 2800 athletes from 88 countries from around the world went to Sochi. 98 events in 15 winter sports disciplines were held during the Games.

  4. The unforgettable atmosphere of the Olympic games The main result of games was a victory of the Russian team and the unforgettable atmosphere of cheer on the international Olympic spectators.

  5. Medals Our athletes won 33 medals: 13 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze medals

  6. Russian sportsman A great achievement for our team was that Russian athletes could win even in those sports where previously there was no wins.

  7. Figure skating The first gold medal was won by our skaters in mixed-team figure skating. This sport was included in the Olympic Games for the first time

  8. Figure skating Our skaters Volosozhar and Trankov won gold in pairs, and AdelinaSotnikova became the first champion in the women's figure skating in Russia's history.

  9. Julia Lipnitskaya There was the young star Julia Lipnitskaya, who was not only a favorite of a large audience, but also the youngest Olympic champion.

  10. Victor An Victor An became an Olympic champion six times, he brought Russia three gold medals and one bronze in short track in Sochi.

  11. Vic Wild Also Vic Wild, a Russian snowboarder, became a double Olympic champion. In these sports we won for the first time.

  12. Bobsledders Our bobsledders gave the fans a lot of joy. The team of Alexander Zubkov twice showed the best result on the track.

  13. biathletes Russian biathletes have always shown good results, and this year they won the competition in the men's relay. Four Russian biathletes (Volkov , UstiugovMalishko, Shipulin) became Olympic champions.

  14. Skiers Performance of our skiers in the last day of competition in the race for 50 kilometers was a real triumph. Alexander Legkov, Maxims Vilegzhanin and IlyaChernousov won all the awards: gold, silver and bronze.

  15. Close Olympic games The Olympic Games in Sochi became the greatest event in the life of our country. These games and the success of our athletes will remain  in our memory, and we gratefully say "thank you" to our champions and all those  people who defended the honor of our country.
