Dear Pen Pal, Today is my favorite holiday in America, and I would like to tell you about it. My favorite American festival is called Labor Day. Labor day is on the first Monday of September – and it celebrates the end of the summer and start of the fall. During this festival, some people have a tradition of holding fairs. They have pig catches, food growing contests, and horse pulls. They also go on fun rides, play games and eat candy apples and ice cream. How delicious the food is! It’s my favorite festival because it’s the last holiday before school begins, and everyone just wants to have a good time. It makes me feel relaxed and happy before I go back to school. What fun Labor Day is! I hope you can come join me here next year. Sincerely, Justin
