Some analysis and interpretations • Strengths and Weaknesses , Opportunities and Threats • Elephants: Influential and Resourceful Persons.
Conclusions: s & w´s • Looking at existing strenghts of EPBRS: as we have in the left column of the matrix a lot of resources, interfaces and networking possibilities, I suggest that we should concentrate on more effective communication and networking towards CBD-related policy making persons and organisations, learned societies and NGO’s,
Conclusions: s & w´s • Looking at existing strenghts of EPBRS: as we have in the left column of the matrix a lot of resources, interfaces and networking possibilities, I suggest that we should concentrate on more effective communication and networking towards CBD-related policy making persons and organisations, learned societies and NGO’s, • Looking at existing weaknesses of EPBRS: (right colum) let´s strenghten the network of (potential) EPBRS-ers in deciding positions as for example the Programme cie. and the Directors of Nature, the Directors of Agricultural Research and support them by sharing information.
Conclusions: opportunities • Looking at opportunities for EPBRS: lets make better use of our existing contacts with IUCN, WWF and other ngo´s by asking them systematically to participate. • Example 1: EPBRS > Birdlife > Ornis Cie • Example 2: EPBRS > IUCN > CBD • Example 3: EPBRS > Plantlife > Habitats Cie
Influential and Resourceful Persons ? • Who are our ”elephants”? • About 7-9 EPBRS-ers are active in a wide network (more then 5 hits) wich goes from funding, via interfaces, to policy making.
Conclusions: Elephants • Looking at opportunities for EPBRS related to Influential and Resourceful Persons: • Let’s raise more elephants!
