  4. Results of 5 years HSRM • Each year around 6 – 8 candidates • Completion rate around 90% • Some 80% continue as a PhD • Interesting and challenging practical period • Builds international networks • Furthers CAPHRI research • Grant proposals awarded in 70% of the cases HSRM - CAPHRI

Threats • Programme will stop next year if less than 20 students (financial constraints) • Will not get reaccredited by KNAW with less than 20 students • Will cost CAPHRI credibility as Centre of Excellence • Will bear heavily on graduate school programme • Might be necessary as CaRe supplemental programme (PhD training) HSRM - CAPHRI
