The Mohawk Tribe By: Hannah Harvey and Lili Kawasaki Pd. 6 Native American Narrative
Scene 1 • We Were new to this area, northern part of the New World, so the sight of a ship or other civilizations was to great excitement.
Scene 2 • As the sound of boots hit the dirt path, the excitement changed to fear and worries. We were new here and could use all the materials needed to help us here, but we didn’t know these men or what they could do.
Scene 3 • When the men came up to us, to our surprise they were kind. They had what we needed, and we had what they wanted. For the exchange we got European costumes. For example, cloth shirts and blouses, decorating them with bead work and ribbon work.
Scene 4 • After the exchange they left us, with both of us satisfied, and we were given clothing to call our own.
