  2. Naming your culture The Köstlich My culture was named Köstlich because it is a German culture. The word köstlich is German for lovely. My culture is very lovely. Historical time period: present day

  3. Original Habitat On what continent of the earth did your culture originate? Europe, Germany. Which continent is your country located on? North America, Greenland What is the Average summer temp. on that continent? 95degrees F. What is the average winter temp.? 25fegrees F. What is the annual rainfall in that location? About 5inches What is the landscape like? What are its common features? Luscious mountains and valleys, average vegetation, no desert land. What animal and plant life existed in this habitat? Lots of trees, various kinds. Lots of animals, especially Penguins.

Each person shall be allowed to legally be wed regardless of each partners sex.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Are the houses communal or single-family dwellings? Single-family. What Materials do people use to build their houses and other structures? Wood, bricks ect. who makes them? Construction workers to what buildings to people go for health care? Hospitals

  13. Foods and their Preparation • 1. What are 3 special foods people in your culture eat regularly? • Chocolate Cheesecake, Otter pops, BBQ. • 2. Who is in charge of getting the ingredients, how do they get them? • farmers, farm and raise livestock. Food companies produce their product in factories. • 3. What tools or weapons are used in this process? • Farming tools, factory machinery. • 4. How many meals are eaten a day? 3 • 5. Who prepares each meal? Various people. • 6. Who gathers to eat these meals? The family • Do people in your culture sell food to make money? • 8. If so, who are these people and what do they sell? • Yes, stores and shops sell food. Farmers, produce men, • and food companies sell they food to the shops. • 9. Does your culture engage in trade with other cultures for food that is not found locally? • Yes.

  15. Power Structure What form of government does your culture have? Democracy How are leaders selected? Voting in an election What are the titles of those in power? President. Vice President. Ect. What are the responsibilities of those in power? To rule Is there a written record of laws? Yes what is it called? Bill of rights How are arguments or legal disputes settled? Court of law What punishments exist for rule breakers? Jail time, community service, death fines, ect

  16. Economy and currency My culture uses the dollar as currency, like the U.S. Gasoline prices are at $1.00 a gallon Many wealthy people live in mansions on the river. Many people display their wealth by donating money to charities of their choice.

  17. Modes of Transportation Modes of Transportation: Walking, boats, wheeled vehicles, planes, trains. Where so people walk and for what purpose? For exercise, or if they have no other way. What are the boats made out of? Metal, wood, plastic. What kinds of wheeled Vehicles? Cars, trucks, vans, busses, motorcycles, all are hybrid.

  18. Defense and protection Which features of the landscape make your culture easy to attack? Long coastline. What defenses does your landscape provide naturally? High mountains, deep valleys. Which people in your culture are trained to defend it? The militia. What types of weapons are used in training and fighting? Guns, swords, knives. What kinds of clothing or uniforms do your defenders wear? See clothing slide.

  19. Waste management plan What waste products do you produce at home/school/play? Trash from food wrappers, consumer goods packaging. Do different types of industries produce different types of garbage? Yes What type of waste is most prevalent in your area? Tootsie pop wrappers. Where do these things go? Once a year, all trash from the landfills is launched into space.
