The Philippians Action & Attitude 1) Their financial opportunity to help Paul is revived (4:10) 2) They shared with Paul in his affliction (4:14) 3) They have a history of financial support to all of Paul’s efforts • At Paul’s first preaching of the gospel (after Macedonia) • Only the Philippian church shared in giving & receiving (4:15) • In Thessalonica they sent a gift more than once (4:16) • Their participation in the gospel from the first day until now (1:5)

Paul’s Attitude 1) I rejoiced in the Lord greatly (4:10) 2) Not that I speak from want (4:11) 3) Not that I seek the gift itself (4:17) 4) I seek the profit which increases to your account (4:17) 5) I am amply supplied/ full/ abundance (4:18) 6) Your Gift – a fragrant aroma, acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God
